Outpatient

Haven Chemical Health Systems LLC has four outpatient substance abuse treatment programs for men and women (18 years old and older) located in Woodbury, Shakopee, Waconia, and Cloquet. We provide primary intensive outpatient treatment and relapse prevention.

Haven Chemical Health Systems LLC believes that substance abuse and dependence are complex and multi-faceted. Our goal is to initiate a process of change through carefully guided practice making the necessary lifestyle changes that promote long-term abstinence and growth.

Our outpatient recovery centers provide quality treatment, lifetime recovery, and personal care to help individuals get the support they need while remaining in the community. Clients are able to maintain family, work, and personal commitments while attending treatment and pursuing their personal recovery goals.

Many of our outpatient clients are stepping down from a more intensive level of care, while others are starting in an outpatient program. We serve clients who are new to the treatment experience, as well as those who have been to treatment before.

Our team of outpatient clinical professionals has the experience and background to provide addiction solutions that are based on a proven formula for successful addiction recovery. We offer convenient day and evening programs for recovery from alcohol and drug-abuse problems affecting your life and the lives of your loved ones.

The program is group-based but focused on the needs and progress of the individual. Our programming is structured around a variety of evidence-based practices and effective treatment principles, such as the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, DBT, a strengths-based perspective, and other abstinence-based Community Support Networks.

Placement for treatment services is based on a clinical assessment by a qualified professional. Length of time in treatment depends on a variety of circumstances unique to the individual.  Once in our program, our clinical professionals will perform ongoing assessments and provide referrals for additional service as needed.

A critical factor in beginning successful recovery is a comprehensive evaluation process to determine the appropriate level of care for each person. The clinicians and client begin to develop mutually defined goals at the time of the assessment.  Clients can expect to develop essential life-management skills as they are assisted in:

• Building on personal strengths
• Learning to implement positive strategies
• Initiating the necessary changes which will promote healthy living

Activities and exercise are assigned based on each person’s needs and abilities.  For our non-readers, we have audio assignments and a library of video materials.

Haven Chemical Health recognizes the importance of ongoing support for individuals recovering from the effects of substance abuse. We encourage each client and their family to participate in weekly outside recovery support groups in addition to their treatment experience.

Recovery support is a critical component in the treatment process and should begin at the time of evaluation. It is our desire that each client has family and concerned persons participate in their treatment experience.

We provide concerned persons with groups and exercises designed to engage the client and their support persons.
